Servo Futaba S9206 findings after Lama crashed
Sequence of event:
I was about in a position like this on the picture, into the wind, before i desided to land. The height was approx 5-7 meters up. Suddenly the tailboom tilted 10 deg approx down and i gave forward elevator immediately. Nothing happened. No response to my input and i was lucky that it was level and the model hit the grass on the skids and the yellow "tailprotector" got a hit and saved the tailrotor/blades.
It felt instantly to me that something slipped at the swashplate area. It was not the turbine that stopped because i had to switch it off after the crashlanding.
Dismantle mechanics:
Firstly when i dismantlet the mechanics i found the big round servo wheel on left aft servo port side (left side) almost off. The screw was almost out and that is very strange since i allways use a drop of blue Locktite 243 on all the servoscrews and makes sure that they are all the way in and securly fasten. I dont know if this servohorn has loosened after the Lama hit the ground with the undercarriage hard.

This is the servo that was placed on the right side forward (starboard side) before i took it apart. The servohorn was ok but the gears seems broken.

And yes, its easy to see that the white plastic gears has had a hard time. Both broken.
